Do I dare put this out to the universe?

My neighbour has a theory that if you put it out to the universe than it all goes to pot but I'm going to give it a try anywaY because I think it's worth celebrating. Here goes...BOEDY IS STARTING TO SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT.

Two Month Shots

Boedy had his two month shots today and was a little trooper. He even managed to give Dr. Angie a smile before leaving. She was thrilled. Boedy is growing well and is in the 90th percentile in all areas. He's 13 lb. 1 oz. (less than we thought), 62 cm (24 inches) long, and his head circumference is 40.5 cm.

I haven't written in a while as we have had quite the social agenda these past couple of weeks. We have been busy with play dates, baby showers, birthday parties, and a prenatal class reunion. Boedy sure is keeping us busy. In addition to my prenatal class friends, we have quite the little moms group in our neighbourhood. Often times you can find us all chit chatting on the street and comparing notes about our babes. The other day one of the moms saw that our patio door was open and yelled up for me and Boedy to come out and play. It was cute. Another mom gave me some hand me down clothes and a Bjorn baby carrier which will be perfect for our upcoming trip to New Brunswick. The other day I woke up to a beautiful card at our front door from one of the experienced moms with some great advice and smelly stickers that say "spectacular" and "very good" and peppy" (she's a teacher). It was a wonderful surprise. I left a bouquet of bright pink gerber daisies at her front door on Friday as a thank you. Apparently, her husband took credit for them (haha). I had one mom call me today wanting to know if she could pick me up anything from the store. How nice is that!? I'm am so grateful for all the moms in my life and all their adorable little kiddies.

We had a play date with Nicole and Lorelei last week and got to try out Lorelei's exersaucer. As you can tell, Boedy absolutely loved it. When we get back from NB, this will be finding it's way to our living room as Lorelei has outgrown it. Too much fun!

At the 11th hour, Brad and I decided to travel to the Sunshine Coast for my cousin Lisa's wedding. And, what a special day it was! It was great seeing friends and family and we had fun introducing Boedy to all the new faces. He seemed to enjoy the day and was a super little traveler. I was able to pump a couple of bottles of milk before leaving so was able to enjoy a glass of wine. This trip was a good test run for our trip to NB in September. It's amazing how much stuff you've got to bring when you've got a wee one!

Playdate with Aimee and Kai

Introducing our new friends...Aimee and Kai. Brad and I met Aimee and her hubby Brad at prenatal class. They live within walking distance from our house so there will be many more playdates in our future. Kai was born 11 days after Boedy. I have been sharing the clothes that Boedy has outgrown with Aimee but Kai outgrows them just as fast as Boedy. We're taking the boys to the pool later this week...stay tuned for more pictures...

Lean on Me

Our friend Jessie and her two daughters, Julie and Katie, stopped by on Monday for a visit. As you can see, the girls were so good with Boedy and he loved spending time with them. Looks like we've got ourselves a couple of babysitters already! The girls just got back from a shopping trip in the states where they went nuts buying all kinds of adorable summer outfits for Boedy (see last picture).
