Morning swim

We made if off resort with the short guy for the first time ever today. It was a morning in Puerto Morelas with the dolphins.

Boedy was very excited to tickle dolphin belly, get special kisses and amazed to get sprayed by this one's blow hole. The little flipper was a solid 300lbs and spent the best part of an hour with us.

Nice side bar...it's located next door to the resort next on our list to visit in Mexico. We decided to get a tour of it while we were there which basically sealed the deal.

So that's how you do it!

It was a big water day for Boedy today.

After a morning of Kids Club at the resort and a quick lunch, we decided that it was time he sailed the high seas. We took off for a catamaran ride which was met with initial enthusiasm followed quickly by 'no no no' while setting off from the beach. Thankfully a few seconds later we heard a definite 'this is awesome' directed to our captain. It was nice out there for a run on the water though the waves eventually put shorty into a quasi sitting nap.

No worry, once we hit land the pool was where the action needed to be and that action was Boedy. Wee one donned his life jacket for about an hour and then only left the pool to take it off to try out swimming on his own. After a few sinks to the bottom and a good dose of determination he was treading water and making his way across the pool to daddy. After another hour of that (including some swimming under water on his own) it was back to our room to clean up for dinner.

It was a bit of a debate to get back out the door but we did get to the restaurant by about 6. It seemed though that time out on and in the water with no afternoon nap will leave you a bit weary.

This was the result, before the appies even arrived!

Big kids digging a hole in the beach?

They obviously don't know what they are doing. I'll show them.
