Hangin' Out In Our PJ's
Boedy is pulling himself up on everything now. It's so much fun to watch! His legs are strong and my prediction is that he's going to be an early walker. He started furniture walking a little bit this morning.

Play Date at Koko's
Koko's is our new favorite place to go on rainy days. There's a great play area for babies that has mats all over the floor and various size mats for crawling up on. Today, I invited several neighbours to join us for a play date and lunch. I also met some new moms there. One mom that I met has two boys and taught me how to teach Boedy to crawl up on a mat (about a foot high) all by himself. She told me never to underestimate his ability. Wonderful advice! After spending about 30 seconds with her, he crawled right up on the blue mat below (see photo). We said lots of encouraging words to him as he was trying to get up. You should have seen his face when he finally did. He looked so proud of himself and then turned to me for a vote of approval. Too cute! He also went down the slide all by himself today. I was able to catch it on video.

Big Boys!
Baby on the Move: From Crawling to Cruising

Wow, it's been a while!
Boedy, Brad and I had miserable colds for a couple of weeks hence the lack of postings. We're all feeling much better now and Boedy and I are back to our daily adventures. The good news about being couped up at home for the past couple of weeks is that Boedy has had lots of tummy time and as a result is crawling all over the place. He crawls around on all fours. If he sees something that he really wants, he gets this look of determination on his face and away he goes. During one of our doctor's visits' last week, we learned that Boedy is now 24 lb. It's a good thing I'm working out because he's becoming a handful.
EATING: We're starting to move away from purees. Boedy is getting very good at picking pieces of food up and putting them in his mouth. He's made it through his first box of Cheerios.
SLEEPING: The nigh wake-ups with a sick little dude were tough on all of us. Brad and I are still recovering from the lack of sleep. I don't think we're going to get much of a break though as Boedy's 9th tooth is on it's way...
LATEST SOUNDS: da-da, dad, ba-ba, na-na, sss, shh, ta-ta, duck-duck
SWIMMING: His last class was on Friday and he "jumped off" (was tossed off by his instructor into my arms) the diving board. He loved it!
BOOGIE BABIES: We wrapped up Boogie Babies this week too. Boedy's favorite take away from the class is swinging back and forth hammock style in a large blanket.
PERSONALITY: We're so happy to have our healthy baby back. Boedy loves being around people and spends most of the day smiling. He just gets more fun each day.
INTERESTS: Boedy continues to be fascinated with how things work and move.
NEW DEVELOPMENTS: Boedy sat on a ride-on horse with wheels at Tera's house on Friday and pushed himself around. I couldn't believe it! He also pulled himself up from sitting to standing for the first time this week and went down a little slide all by himself.

Boedy Doing Rasberries
Brad and I have been blowing rasberries on Boedy's belly and cheeks for a while now. Yesterday, Boedy started blowing rasberries for the first time. He sits there sticking his tongue out and blows until he makes a noise. Spit flies everywhere and he (and we) thinks it's hilarious. He practised this new skill all day yesterday and this morning we woke up to Boedy blowing rasberries on the baby monitor. It was hilarious!
Hmm, what else is new with our little guy? He loves bananas now. I gave him a third of a banana at lunch to munch on and he downed it in what seemed like seconds. Oh, Bek and I did lunch at our local coffee shop today with the boys. We had so much fun even though the boys were into EVERYTHING. I will definitely be adding this fun little outing to our growing activity list.
We have had lots of play dates with the neighbours over the past couple of weeks (too many to keep track of). It's so much fun watching the kids grow up together.
The girls and I managed to get our Wednesday run in during the day with the babies (we usually go at night after we put the babies to bed). Wednesday is hill day so we ran to a local park and two moms went off to run hills while one mom stayed back to watch the babies. We each cycled through a couple of times and then ran home. It worked out really well. It was nice to have an evening off last night so that I could...ummm...RELAX...or clean the bathroom, do the laundry, iron, etc.
