I can't believe that Atti turned one this week! He's the first of the little people to turn one. We celebrated his birthday today and had a fun time. His mommy and daddy put on a wonderful party for him. It's now time to start planning Boedy's big backyard bbq birthday bash...something to think about on our big trip.

Mexico Report
Our family vacation to Cancun, Mexico was absolutely-beyond belief-amazing!
The resort.
Phenomenal. Amazing. Incredible. Family AND baby friendly. Outstanding service. Beautiful. Perfect. Will go back (next year for sure!).
As you saw in a few of the photos, Boedy really took a liking to a couple of the lady staff members. There was one in particular (Angeles) that I called The Baby Whisperer. She would look at Boedy from across the room and he would just melt. The staff treated us like gold!
Travelling with a baby. It can be done!
I was a little nervous about our six hour flight there and back and all those other inevitable baby-related inconveniences that may occur but all those worries were for naught. It went perfectly! Yes, there were a few tears and fussiness but it was all worth it and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Oh yeah...and on the way home, we got moved to an empty row of three bulkhead seats. Best seats in the house when travelling with a baby (in our opinion)! Kudos to Sunquest airline for being super accommodating.
The room.
It was the perfect set up. We stayed in a "family jacuzzi suite" which had a sliding door between our bedroom (+jacuzzi + balcony) and the tv room. We set up Boedy's crib in the tv room. During his naps, we hung out on the balcony, caught some rays, sipped pina coladas, and enjoyed the ocean view. After we put B to bed for the night, we watched the performance shows from our balcony. Bonus!
New Boedy Developments.
Our big guy started standing up on his own. Woohoo!
Our days.
We spent our days playing in the pool and the "Fisher Price room", meeting other families, walking the beach (we walked the beach in the evenings too with Boedy in the carrier and the waves lulled him to sleep in seconds), and most of all enjoying our time together. Perfection.
