6 Month Growth Spurt: Dec. 26-29

A cold has me in it's grip, argh! This, coupled with teething and Boedy's six month growth spurt has left me feeling exhausted. Up until now, Boedy's growth spurts have generally been uneventful...no change in eating habits or sleeping patterns...he just gets bigger...and bigger...and bigger. His six month growth spurt was a different story. For three days, he fed every two hours (even at night) from both sides. It was crazy! Oh well, I managed to get in a lovely walk with Boedy today which turned my spirits around.

Good morning!

Boedy has decided that he wants to feed himself (I'm sure if he could speak he would say "me do it mom"...sound familiar Nana?...haha) and we have quickly figured out that the only way to get him to eat is to give him the reigns (yes Grampa, he is managing us well...haha). As you can see in the photo, he has left the empty spoon for me to fill while he chomps on the freshly filled spoon.

A little morning play before breakfast (his looks are changing all the time...I find that he look like such a little boy in this photo...sniff, sniff). Now I understand why some moms want baby #2 so soon after having baby #1 - they miss that newborn feel. While I miss that too, Boedy's so much fun right now that we wouldn't change a thing. He will be a wonderful big brother someday to hopefully a few brothers and/or sisters (wink, wink).

Somebody's Got the Giggles...

Even though Boedy was a little under the weather on Christmas Day, we still managed to get some giggles out of him (this is typical Boedy)...

Boedy smiled for the entire walk. It seems that he likes being by the water as much as his mommy and daddy do.

It's hard to believe that we have been spending Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and even Halloween with our friends Rod and Jessie and their two girls, Katie and Julie, for almost 5 years now. Fun memories!

Best turkey dinner ever! The best part - it was a unified effort! Couldn't have done it without you guys!
